Coffee Cherry Tea
Cascara tea is the reserved husks from the coffee cherry which are dried into a herbal tea. Unlike most herbal teas, Cascara tea does have a low caffeine content (25-30mg per cup, compared to coffee which is around 80mg per cup) where it derives from the coffee plant.
The coffee cherry tea boasts a light body with delicate texture, with hints of sweet stone fruits. The aroma of caramelized sugar and subtle cherry are perfect for comforting cup of tea. The flavour notes of cascara are very similar to those of a mild orange pekoe tea.
Brew Method
- 8 grams of tea with 250ml (1 cup) of water.
- Heat water to 93-96 degrees celsius for 5-7 minutes. For stronger more intense flavors, steep 10 minutes in French press
