Writer's Submission Form

What is this and what are we offering?

• Our goal is to find and give a spotlight to local authors. All Canadian authors are welcome to submit, but preference will be given to Nova Scotian authors.

• We are only accepting novels. No short stories, nonfiction, or poetry (this time).
• All works must be original. No fan-fiction.

• Self-published and traditionally published are both acceptable. However, it must have a physical manuscript. No ebooks because we want to have your work in store.

• The submission period lasts three weeks, but the judging period will take longer. We are a small store with a small staff, we will do our best to read your works and make choices in a timely manner.

• If your novel is chosen, NovelTea Bookstore and Gifts will prominently display your work in store for twelve weeks as well as make a video and post for social media. 

• Tell us something about your work. This can include premise, genre, content warnings, or anything you would like us to know before we read your work. (optional, 75 word max)
