Designed and created by Canadians. This new patented filtration system is taking the coffee world by storm. No more sludge in your French press coffee! The double filter basket stops extraction so you can go back for a second cup that will be as smooth and delicious as the first cup!

The P5 takes the classic sophistication of a traditional glass French press and perfects it through design and technology. Simply put, the P5 is safer, more durable, and keeps beverages warmer than other glass presses on the market.

Espro invented a patent-pending Safety Lock™ to completely secure the glass inside the steel cage, and finally eliminate the industry’s issue of glass slipping out while pouring. They designed the German-made Schott Duran® glass to be 40% thicker than a traditional press. And they included the patented double micro-filter for a clean, delicious cup with none of the typical grit and mess.

Tea filter not included.

Rethinking the Press

There’s as much happening on the outside as there is on the inside. From a handle that unlocks for easy cleaning to an insulated lid that keeps your coffee hotter for longer—every detail works together to give you an optimal cup.

Double Filtered

Our patented double micro-filter eliminates grit with twice the filtering power of a typical press. You’ll be hard pressed to find a smoother cup.

Even Extraction

Our double micro-filter is surrounded by a silicone lip that runs along the rim, so it fits snugly inside the container and creates a vacuum seal. When you press the plunger down, extraction stops immediately—so your brew is consistent from the first pour to the last.

Quick Reference Dos & Don’ts
  • DO separate and hand wash both filters after every use
  • DO Deep Clean your filters and lids once a month
  • DO use medium coarse ground coffee
  • DON’T use excess force to push down on the plunger
  • DON’T put your press on the stovetop

How to Make A French Press Coffee:

Make smooth, grit-free coffee—thanks to our double micro-filter. Surrounded by a silicone lip that runs along the rim, the basket fits snugly inside the container and creates a vacuum seal. When you press the plunger down, extraction stops immediately—so your brew is consistent from the first pour to the last.

Step 4

Pour out preheat water.

Step 5

Pour coffee into the bottom of the vessel and clean any grinds that may have spilled on the top lip of the press.

Step 6

Boil water. Let it cool for a minute or two. Ideal temperature is 195-205 °F.

Step 7

Fill the press with water until the water and coffee meet the fill line.

Step 8

Give it a quick stir to ensure all the grinds are wet.

Step 9

Press the lid on gently without pressing it down.

Step 10

Wait four minutes. In a rush? Use more coffee and wait two minutes.

Step 11

Press slowly until the button reaches the lid. If the force feels too high, pull up briefly to clear the filter instead of using body weight. Take 15 seconds to fully press.

Step 12

Pour and enjoy.
